This is really cool!
I was wondering if there would be any way to use this where the tiling and position is set by one object, but all other objects using the same material instance would use the same tiling and position.
I have been creating buildings in an environment with a modular kit. And using world aligned textures so that they look like a single plastered building. The problem is when they are rotated to values that are not divisible by 90 the shading and shadow mapping looks off. With your material function here the shading and shadow mapping looks perfect, but each modular chunk shows seems.
